Hike to Twin Sisters Peak

Join FCIC on Sunday, August 13 for the 15th annual hike to Twin Sisters. This is a beautiful but challenging 8.4 mile (13.5km) hike. Please note, this hike is NOT suitable for new students to Fort Collins, unless you are used to high elevation AND hike regularly. Please see more details below.

Sunday, August 13: Meet at 6:00 a.m. at International House, 1400 W. Elizabeth St.

During the hike, you will have amazing views of Long’s and Meeker peaks as well as over the Front Range and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Please note this is a very challenging hike. No children allowed, and you should be comfortable hiking a long distance with significant elevation gain--you will gain about 2,300 feet (701m) elevation during the hike. This hike is not suitable for people new to Fort Collins--you should only join if you are used to high elevation and hike regularly.

Twin Sisters Peak has a high elevation of 11,427 ft (3,482 m).

Required equipment: water bottle, comfortable hiking shoes, lunch, hat, and sunscreen. Please check the weather and plan to dress accordingly.

Return to CSU around 3:00 p.m., earlier if the weather turns.
